All the local pumpkin patches in the area run until Halloween night. Big Wave Dave's Pumpkin Patch is a favorite in the area and is open daily until 9:00 pm. You can pick out pumpkins along with other squash. There are plenty of kid's activities and photo opportunities to enjoy. Lane Farms Pumpkin Patch is open daily until 7:00 pm and has even more fun to choose from. Enjoy a Halloween season that includes a corn maze, hayrides, farm animals, and the perfect festive backdrop for a family fall picture. Solvang Farmer Pumpkin Patch is open daily until 6:00 pm that features a gigantic 10-acre corn maze to navigate. There is also a smaller kids maze along with plenty of one-pound pumpkins to choose from. Visiting any pumpkin patch is absolutely free!

Additional activities included during your visit include a ride on the Zoo Train, the scare zone, creepy animal encounters, and mad science experiments. The zoo will also be decorated in fun Halloween decor too. Kids are encouraged to show up in their child friendly costumes during their visit. Boo at the Zoo is open each night from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm from October 21st through the 30th.

Trunk or Treat

Luckily for you the Santa Barbara Police Department and Santa Barbara Parks & Rec Department are bringing back their Trunk or Treat event this year. On Friday October 27th you and your family can head over to Spencer Adams Parking Lot on Victoria and Chapala for a trunk or treat event like no other. Have your kids come in their best costume to trick or treat around different decorated cars. There will be a costume contest for best dressed and best car trunk for the event. The event runs from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm so your family has plenty of time to bring in the candy!

Weekend Bar Crawls

If the adults are looking for something exciting to do the weekend before Halloween, make sure to take a look into the many bar crawls happening. A variety of crawls will be taking place in Downtown Santa Barbara the night of Saturday October 28th including the Wicked Wolverine Halloween Bar Crawl and annual Santa Barbara Zombie Crawl. Preregistration is required for both events and will take you across a variety of water holes throughout the evening. Stop in to local favorites such as Backstage Dueling Piano Bar for a drink with others who are in their best Halloween costumes!
