Visit The Toma Restaurant and Bar for a Rustic Santa Barbara Dining Experience

Toma Restaurant and Bar is a wonderful restaurant that lies right on the Santa Barbara waterfront. The restaurant operates in an historic building that exudes old world charm and a rustic feel. The restaurant has been in operation for over 80 years, making delicious food and serving great wines to eager guests. If you are staying in the Santa Barbara area, whether on vacation, business, or just passing through, make sure that you check out this Santa Barbara staple.

Toma was created over 80 years ago, and is currently run by proprietors Tom and Vicki Dolan, who have over 65 combined years in the food and beverage industry. Tom and Vicki have a mission and a passion to serve their guests with loving, friendly atmosphere and to keep their food delicious. They consistently walk around their restaurant to see new faces and embrace old friends. You will quickly become a part of their family when you visit their restaurant.

Toma has the honor of employing Executive Chef Nat Ely to create their delicious menu. Chef Ely began his career in some of Seattle’s best kitchens, including Pike Place Market, a Seattle gem. Chef Ely left Seattle to embrace wine country as the head chef of Los Olivos Café (featured in the movie Sideways). Toma was excited to steal him away to grace their own Santa Barbara dining establishment by creating an even better menu then before. Some of the new specialties include flavors from Mediterranean, Italian, and French cooking styles to create a menu that will leave you speechless.

Toma lies in one of the riches wine countries that the United States has to offer. Due to their placement, along with Vicki and Tom’s love for wine, Toma features a diverse wine list that will pair perfectly with their new menu. Toma likes to focus their wines on “hidden gems” that are specially selected from around Italy and some of the best wines from local vintners to offer the most diverse wine at a great value. Toma wants to ensure that you are left full and satisfied with both the food they offer and they wine they serve.

Toma would love to see new faces in their restaurant and we recommend a trip to them while you are in Santa Barbara. We know that you will not regret your choice in restaurant!
