Oktoberfest in Santa Barbara

Enter October, and along with it, one of the most famous and beloved celebration throughout the world. Originating in Germany, Oktoberfest celebrations did not take long to sweep across the globe until there were celebrations in just about every city in the world. You can find one of the most spirited of these celebration this year in Santa Barbara, and the place to be this year is the Santa Barbara BrewHouse, where they take Oktoberfest more seriously than anyone!

Authentic German Roots

This is among the most serious Oktoberfest celebrations that you will come across, as the amazing décor and abundance of costumes is an indicator that just drinking beer is not enough to celebrate this awesome event right. Of course, the main event for this year’s Oktoberfest is a wide variety of authentic German beers. You won’t find this beer in a can floating in a cooler, but being pumped fresh and ice cold out of a keg. But there is so much more to love about the Oktoberfest proceedings at the BrewHouse. Along with the delicious drinks, you can enjoy live German music, a costume contest, bratwurst eating contest, a stein carrying contest, and of course, a stein holding contest.

This amazing festival of some of the most light-hearted fun you will find anywhere is taking over the brewery from 4 pm to 10 pm on Friday September 30th and from 11 am to 10 pm on Saturday October 1st. You can find the BrewHouse on Montecito Street just to the west of the famous Moreton Bay Fig Tree.
