Santa Barbara pulls out all of the stops for this most special occasion: The Fourth of July. This is one of those celebrations that is not easy to summarize because the entire city breaks out in unparalleled festivities. Beachfront Festivities

The most notable and exciting of the festivities is the beachfront celebration occurring the day of the Fourth. Here at the waterfront and Stearns Wharf, you can get in on an entire of fun from noon until 9 pm. Throughout this jubilant day, you can enjoy endless delicious food options, local shop vendors, face painting and much more. Also throughout the entire day, there will be constant performances from local artists. Performances include live music and dancing.

Fireworks

As with many other celebrations of our country’s independence, Santa Barbara’s festivities crescendo with an amazing fireworks show. The best place to witness this incredible spectacle of the exploding fireworks above the water is at West Beach. This is sure to be one of the most grandiose displays that you have seen on the Fourth.

Spirit of 76 & More

There are countless other celebrations throughout the day at different venues. A Santa Barbara classic is the Spirit of 76 parade that takes over downtown Santa Barbara with ending in “Old Town” where the parade attendees enjoy a party. Arts and Crafts shows and plenty of other events are enjoyed throughout the city as well.
