Damage Waiver & Travel Insurance

Accidental Property Damage Waiver

You have two options for covering the cost of your security deposit:

  1. Pay the Premises’ Standard Refundable Security Deposit ($1,000 - $5,000 depending on the Premises); or
  2. Purchase the Property Damage Waiver, and then pay only 25% of the Premises’ Standard Refundable Security Deposit ($250-$1,250 depending on the Premises)

When you purchase the Property Damage Waiver, which is not insurance, you will not be held responsible for qualified damages to the rental Premises in the event that any damage should occur, provided the damage was not the result of any illegal or prohibited use of the rental Premises.  The cost of the Property Damage Waiver, as well as the amount of potential damage the Property Damage Waiver encompasses, is relative to each Premise’s security deposit amount, calculated as follows:

  1. For properties with $1,000 to $2,000 security deposits, the Covered Guest pays:
    1. A one time, nonrefundable Property Damage Waiver fee of $100.00 in exchange for a $3,000.00 Property Damage Waiver; and 
    2. A $250 to $500 Refundable Security Deposit to cover contractual violations.
  1. For properties with $2,001 to $3,500 security deposits, the Covered Guest pays:
    1. A one time, nonrefundable Property Damage Waiver fee of $200.00 in exchange for a $5,000.00 Property Damage Waiver; and
    2. A $501 to $875 Refundable Security Deposit to cover contractual violations.
  1. For properties with $3,501 to $5,000 security deposits, the Covered Guest pays:
    1. A one time, nonrefundable Property Damage Waiver fee of $300.00 in exchange for a $7,500.00 Property Damage Waiver; and
    2. A $876 to $1,250 Refundable Security Deposit to cover contractual violations.

The Property Damage Waiver program may be purchased for stays of up to 29 nights,  and only encompasses certain types of damage.  It is not available for reservations of 30+ nights.  If you are interested in the Property Damage Waiver program, please request further information at the time of reservations.

By purchasing Travel Insurance, your reservation costs are covered in case of unexpected cancellation. Also included with your insurance is a wide range of travel assistance services. The last thing you need is something to go wrong during your vacation. With coverage for Baggage Delay, Emergency Assistance, Trip Interruption and more, CSA’s Guest Protect Plan can help you focus on enjoying yourself! Our designated assistance services provider can help with other issues that may come up, like the need for a medical referral or replacing medication or eyeglasses.

This insurance covers your Rental Fee, Reservation/Security Deposit, Booking Fee, Taxes, Damage Waiver fee, and Travel Insurance fee which are non-refundable within 90 days of your arrival. The cost of the insurance is 6.95% of the total cost of the items covered, and can be purchased during the Reservation process.
