Accidental Property Damage Waiver

You have two options for covering the cost of your security deposit:

1. Pay the Premises’ Standard Refundable Security Deposit ($1,000 - $10,000+ depending on the Property); or
2. Purchase the Property Damage Waiver, and then pay only 25% of the Premises’ Standard Refundable Security Deposit ($250-$2,500 depending on the Premises)

When you purchase the Property Damage Waiver, which is not insurance, you will not be held responsible for qualified damages to the rental Premises in the event that any damage should occur, provided the damage was not the result of any illegal or prohibited use of the rental Premises.  The cost of the Property Damage Waiver, as well as the amount of potential damage the Property Damage Waiver encompasses, is relative to each Premise’s security deposit amount, calculated as follows:

1. For properties with $1,000 - $2,499 security deposits, the Covered Guest pays:
1. A one time, nonrefundable Property Damage Waiver fee of $69.00 in exchange for a $3,000.00 Property Damage Waiver; and 
2. A $250-$625 Refundable Security Deposit to cover contractual violations.
2. For properties with $2,500 - $4,999 security deposits, the Covered Guest pays:
3. A one time, nonrefundable Property Damage Waiver fee of $175.00 in exchange for a $5,000.00 Property Damage Waiver; and
4. A $625-$1250 Refundable Security Deposit to cover contractual violations.
3. For properties with $5,000 - $10,000 security deposits, the Covered Guest pays:
5. A one time, nonrefundable Property Damage Waiver fee of $350.00 in exchange for a $10,000.00 Property Damage Waiver; and
6. A $1,250-$2,500 Refundable Security Deposit to cover contractual violations.
4. The Property Damage Waiver program does not apply to properties with $10,000+ security deposits         

The Property Damage Waiver program may be purchased for stays of up to 6 months and only encompasses certain types of damage.  If you are interested in the Property Damage Waiver program, please request further information at the time of reservations.

By purchasing trip insurance, your rental payment + occupancy tax is covered in case of unexpected cancellation. Also included with your insurance is a wide range of travel assistance services.

Travel Insurance Benefits include: $100K Trip Cancellation, $25K Medical Expenses, $500K Emergency Evacuation, $25K Rental Car Collision, and more.

Travel Assistance Services include: Detailed Pre-Trip Travel Advisory, Concierge Services, Identity Theft services, Travel Medical Assistance, LiveTravel® Emergency Assistance, Vehicle Return Service, $100 Roadside Assistance (per car), and more.

The cost of insurance is 7% of your rental rate + occupancy tax. This insurance covers your rental rate + occupancy tax; which are not refundable within 90 days of your arrival.

You may also add additional coverage for your plane tickets, rental car costs, and any other trip expenses you would like covered. The premium for these additional coverages is 7% of the cost of those items.
